Peer Review Process

The Journal of Modern Research Physics employs a double-blind peer review process for the evaluation of submitted manuscripts. Under this process, the identities of authors are kept anonymous to reviewers, and the identities of reviewers are kept anonymous to authors.

Initial Editorial Screening

Upon submission, each manuscript is initially screened by the Editor-in-Chief or members of the Editorial Board to assess its relevance to the journal's aims and scope, preliminary scientific quality, compliance with the journal's formatting and submission requirements, and adherence to publication ethics. Manuscripts that do not meet the initial requirements may be rejected before being sent for peer review.

Peer Review

Manuscripts that pass the initial editorial screening are sent to at least two independent and qualified reviewers with relevant expertise. Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on its scientific quality, originality and novelty, methodology, validity of the results, presentation and discussion of findings, and adequacy of the references.

Editorial Decisions

Based on the reviewers' reports, one of the following decisions may be made:

  • Accept
  • Accept subject to revisions
  • Major revisions and resubmission
  • Reject

When revisions are required, authors must submit a revised version together with a detailed response to the reviewers' comments. The revised manuscript may be returned to the original reviewers for further evaluation.

Final Decision

The final decision regarding acceptance or rejection is made by the Editor-in-Chief, taking into consideration the reviewers' reports and, where appropriate, the recommendations of the Editorial Board. Passing the initial screening or receiving favorable reviewer comments does not, by itself, guarantee acceptance for publication.

Reviewer Selection and Responsibilities

Reviewers are selected based on their relevant academic expertise and subject-area knowledge. Reviewers are expected to evaluate manuscripts confidentially, objectively, and professionally and to disclose any potential conflict of interest to the editor. The content and information contained in submitted manuscripts must be treated as confidential throughout the review process.

Conflicts of Interest and Editorial Independence

Individuals who have a conflict of interest with the authors or the subject matter of a manuscript must not participate in its peer review or editorial decision-making. Manuscripts authored by members of the Editorial Board or other journal officials are also subject to an independent double-blind peer review process, and the conflicted individual is excluded from the review and decision-making process concerning that manuscript.
