Supercapacitors as electrical energy storage systems are widely known devices and due to the complexity of these systems, the numerical simulation is a fundamental approach to investigate their charging mechanism. Geometric effects of the pore are important on the electrical capacitance properties of supercapacitors. In this paper, the effects of linear pores width on their ion-philic behaviors are investigated. For this purpose similar linear pore systems that only differ in the pores’ width are simulated by using the PLT algorithm implemented in CAVIAR. The systems are simulated at two different applied voltages: 0 and 2 V. It was shown that the width is an important factor, that is, a larger pore width shows more ion-philic behaviors.
